ABOUT DR. SUSANNAH
Dr. Susannah O. Leppänen, PhD 

Dr. Susannah Otieno-Leppänen is a Cognitive neuroscientist, Transformational coach, Mentor and Social Entrepreneur.

Dr. Otieno-Leppänen is a researcher at the University of Jyväskylä and the founder of the Authentic Valor Action (AVA) program. Together with her team, she supports social entrepreneurs to create authentic ideas to have high impact and profitable businesses. Susannah believes that every person has the capacity to create uniqueness and authenticity with their personality, skills and talents and use these to transform the lives of others ethically and profitably. What most people need is guided activation to their authentic self.

In addition to working as a researcher and running the AVA program, Susannah is the Chairman of the board of the Neurowell Foundation as well as the director of operations for the TreesAfrica Initiative. She is also the Global ambassador for Global Partnerships Organization.

She is also spearheading the launch of the master’s programme in Cogntive Neuroscience at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kenya. She has conducted cognitive neuroscience training and neuropsychology trainings in Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Zambia, India and China.

Education Background 
Susannah holds a PhD (Psychology) degree and a master’s degree in Educational Sciences both from the University of Jyväskylä, a higher diploma in neuropsychology from the Niilo Mäki Institute in Finland and a Bachelor of Education degree from Kenyatta University in Kenya. She is an avid nature lover and enjoys spending time with her family in in the beautiful forests of the Jyväskylä region in Central Finland.
